SUMMER SEW-ALONG Retreat

Stephanie Ackerman and I are hosting a Summer Sew-Along THIS JULY in Hamilton, Missouri. Why Hamilton?! This is the home of Missouri Star Quilt Co, also coined as Quilt Town USA for their 16+ themed fabric stores. It’s a dream experience for stitchers, sewers and fabric lovers. We will be staying one block from the Missouri Star Quilt Co. hub. Talk about a sewing shopper’s dream come true!

In addition to experiencing Missouri Star Quilt Co, together, we will also work on our own sewing projects inspired by the fabric and finds at Missouri Star. Each person will go home with their very own lap quilt. You will learn how to sew together pieces of fabric into one beautiful treasured blanket. While you will need to bring your own sewing machine to this retreat, no sewing expertise is needed. We will start from the beginning and walk you through the process. Come sew along with us and create something beautiful!

Retreat cost is $875 and includes lodging, meals, drinks, and creative supplies. Transportation is not included, however, carpooling to and from the airport is usually discussed among the attendees. Sleeping arrangements in the house allow for 14 guests in either single or shared beds. The house is located one hour from Kansas City Airport (KCI).

MeRRY Makers Retreat

Stephanie Ackerman and I are hosting a retreat for all Merry Makers THIS JULY in Hamilton, Missouri. Why Hamilton?! This is the home of Missouri Star Quilt Co, also coined as Quilt Town USA for their 16+ themed fabric stores. It’s a dream experience for stitchers, sewers and fabric lovers. We will be staying one block from the Missouri Star Quilt Co. hub. Talk about a shopper’s dream come true!

This retreat will include something extra special. Missouri Star Quilt Co, is hosting a brand NEW event in July called Jingle in July and we will be going to this! They are celebrating the official start of a quilter’s holiday season with Black Friday deals, all the latest holiday fabric, make-and-take demos, fun games and prizes. This retreat is perfect for all my Christmas-loving, Black Friday shopping friends. Christmas in July never sounded better! And with this special Christmas-themed time together, there is no better time to reflect upon our faith traditions and how we wait upon God. We’re going to start Advent a little early this year!
